Field visit of Institute specialists to sanatorium-resort organizations in Akmola and Karaganda regions

In implementation of the “Roadmap for the Improvement and Development of the Sanatorium-Resort Sector in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2025–2027,” approved by Order No. 195 of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 27, 2025, a field visit of specialists from the Research Institute of Balneology and Medical Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan to sanatorium-resort organizations in the Akmola and Karaganda regions was organized under the leadership of Kanat Tekebayev, Deputy Director for Organizational and Methodological Work.
The main purpose of the visit was a comprehensive assessment of the activities of sanatorium-resort organizations, provision of methodological support, as well as collection and systematization of data for the formation of a national register.
In the Akmola region, 13 sanatorium-resort organizations were examined, including 12 located in the Shchuchinsk district and 1 in the Zerenda district. The work was carried out in cooperation with the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Akmola region, which ensured effective coordination with the regional business community.
Data collection was conducted using a unified questionnaire covering key operational parameters, including treatment profiles, human resources capacity, infrastructure, and the range of services provided.
During the visit to the Karaganda region, the Institute’s specialists also held working meetings with the regional Health Department and visited several sanatorium-resort organizations, including the “Bereznayki” sanatorium (Bukhar-Zhyrau district), “Arman” (Karaganda), “Zhartas” (Abay district), “Sayaly” (Bukhar-Zhyrau district), “Zhosaly” (Karkaraly district), and “Balkhash” (Priozersk).
The work carried out will enable the creation of an up-to-date database of sanatorium-resort organizations, improve the quality of methodological support for the sector, and ensure the further development of the country’s sanatorium-resort system.
